Emotional Support and Coping Strategies: Brian will offer guidance on managing stress, anxiety, and uncertainty related to AI-driven changes, providing practical coping strategies to help participants process their emotions and foster resilience.

Facilitating Psychosocial Insight: Drawing on clinical expertise, Brian will lead discussions that deepen participants' understanding of how societal shifts in technology impact mental health, self-identity, and interpersonal relationships, helping to bridge the gap between technology and human well-being.

Creating a Safe, Supportive Space: Brian will ensure the workshop environment is trauma-informed and emotionally safe, encouraging open dialogue and empathy among participants, while being attuned to individuals who may feel overwhelmed or triggered by the topics of change and uncertainty.

Your Presenters:
Andrew W. Taylor
Andrew is a graduate student in the Artificial Intelligence department at Johns Hopkins Engineering. He also has a background in financial advising and wealth management at major banks such as J.P. Morgan and UBS, which informs his approach to A.I. and motivates him to bring this new technology to the individual and the small business. A.I. is the way of the future and it shouldn't just be for the elites and large cap companies. Within the field he is specializing in Applied Machine Learning, which you can think of as building applications for computers that can classify or predict based on a pool of data. He holds degrees in Philosophy and Mandarin.
Brian Stefan, MFT., LCSW
Brian is a therapist, professor, founder and CEO of the California Grief Center. He is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and grief therapist, dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate the full spectrum of personal loss. His expertise includes working with those grieving the loss of family or friends, as well as disenfranchised or “hidden” losses such as suicide, overdose, and anticipatory grief. Brian also works with individuals who have experienced sudden or violent deaths, natural disasters, the loss of pets, and significant life transitions like retirement, physical disability, or divorce. He believes that grief extends far beyond death, touching many aspects of identity and life, and he is committed to creating a compassionate space for all types of loss.

Brian’s approach to therapy is informed by extensive training at Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center, the LA Mayor’s Crisis Response Team/Suicide Response Team, Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute, and Our House Grief Support Center. In addition to his clinical practice, Brian serves as an Adjunct Professor of Social Work at California State University, Los Angeles, where he teaches courses on grief, trauma, and counseling skills.
